Employee Spotlight Interview
Georgia Barrett, Senior Graphic and Web Designer
Joined ClinEdge in 2013
When did you first start working at ClinEdge and what was your first role with the company?
My first day at ClinEdge was 9/11/2013 - I started as a part-time Intern helping with design tasks for the company. I worked on print items like brochures and postcards for the ClinEdge tradeshows and facebook ads for research site clients among other small projects.
What is your role now? Please provide a general description of role
Now I'm a Senior Web & Graphic Designer working with Site and Sponsor clients to build strong brands and create materials for clinical trials. I work closely with our design and marketing team to help strategize and deliver cohesive collateral for patient recruitment and retention. I also help design and develop websites for specific studies and for research sites.
As you look back, what big goals did the company achieve from when you started to now?
I think just seeing the expansion of the company has been interesting - when I first started there were only about 20 employees in a small office in the North End. Now having company-wide calls with over 100 people is wild to see!
What’s kept you working at ClinEdge all these years?
For me I think being able to grow along with the company has kept me here. A lot has changed since I first started - but having flexibility and room for growth has kept me motivated and structured at ClinEdge.
What are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of the designs I've been able to create over my time here at ClinEdge. Knowing a logo I've designed or a website I've helped develop will be seen across the country (and even the world) is exciting! Plus knowing that it could be a first impression for a patient in need of a trial is rewarding.
Where do you see ClinEdge in the next 5 years?
I see ClinEdge expanding service lines and teams, streamlining our operations and being able to impact and help more patients than ever before. If the past 10 years have been any indication - I think the future is bright for ClinEdge and our teams :)
