International Clinical Trials Day!

Happy International Clinical Trials Day! This day is dedicated to raising awareness about the critical role clinical research plays in advancing healthcare, and about how ordinary people can get involved in cutting-edge research that really makes a difference.

Held every May 20th in honor of James Lind, who on this day in 1747 began the first controlled trial in history, Clinical Trials Day also applauds the hard work and dedication of clinical research professionals throughout the world. While not all research proves successful, every study brings us one step closer to life-changing breakthroughs in the treatment of unmet medical needs.

In recognition of the contribution of researchers and clinical trial participants, we have made a short video to thank you for your commitment to improving medicine for everyone!

If you are a clinical researcher, tell us: Why did you get involved in clinical research? Send your responses to @ClinEdge and use the hashtag #WhyWeDoResearch.

Help us celebrate International Clinical Trials Day by sharing this post with your friends!
